Meet Tetyana Duggan, LCSW
Therapist
I offer therapy for teenagers, college-aged clients, and adults, with both in-office and virtual options available. My style is warm, relaxed, and client-centered. I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can show up as you and move at a pace that feels right for you.
I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions like adjusting to college, starting a new career, or becoming a parent. These seasons can feel overwhelming, and you don’t have to figure them out on your own.
My primary approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and I’m certified in Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT). I also incorporate DBT-based strategies to support emotion regulation, coping skills, and managing day-to-day stress. During our sessions, we’ll focus on understanding your thoughts and feelings while building practical tools that actually fit your life. I may offer strategies or between-session “homework” if that’s something you find helpful, but it’s always flexible.
One of the things I love most about being a therapist is supporting people through difficult or vulnerable times and helping them feel less alone.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me spending time outdoors with my two boys or getting lost in a good book.
Location: Brighton, MI
Appointments: In-Person & Telehealth
My approach offers room to slow down, gain clarity, and move forward at a pace that feels manageable and sustainable.

What kind of clients tend to feel most at home in your work?
Adults seeking support for depression, anxiety, trauma, and life adjustments tend to feel most at home in my work. Many are navigating stress, uncertainty, or major transitions and are looking for a supportive space to better understand themselves and build effective coping tools.
What is something you wish more clients know about therapy before starting?
I wish clients knew that therapy takes time and that much of the work happens outside of sessions. Therapy is a non-judgmental space, but it may also include honest feedback and gentle accountability.
What do you most want clients to feel when they are in the room with you?
My top priority is for clients to feel safe and not judged. I want them to know it’s okay to move at their own pace, to set boundaries, and to trust that they’ll be met with respect and understanding throughout the process.
What would you say to someone who feels hesitant or nervous about starting therapy?
If you’re feeling hesitant or nervous, that’s completely normal. You don’t have to commit to anything beyond the first session. Just come as you are and see how it feels
How do you recharge?
Spending time with my husband and two sons, reading, and going for walks helps me recharge and stay grounded.
